What sets the FD306 apart from any other wheel aligner is the way the technician works. The electrically adjustable stand places the cameras exactly where they are needed on each 4-post or scissor lift, with no fixed towers and no building work in the workshop.

How a wheel alignment is carried out with the FD306

The process is designed for modern diagnostic bays: stable measurements, a smooth workflow and less time per vehicle in day-to-day workshop life.

  1. Position the stand at floor level and take the measurement with the vehicle on the lowered lift.
  2. Raise the unit electrically to the ideal working height, with no effort and no manual adjustment.

What is the difference between the FD306 and the FD305?
Both aligners use the same three-camera 3D system with self-calibration and both work with 4-post lifts, scissor lifts and pits. The difference is the mounting: the FD306 sits on a mobile stand with electric height adjustment that raises and lowers the cameras effortlessly and moves easily around the workshop; the FD305 is mounted on two independent columns with manual height adjustment.
Which wheel aligner do I need for my lift?
For 4-post lifts, scissor lifts or pits both the FD305 and the FD306 will do the job; the FD306 adds the convenience of a mobile stand with electric height adjustment. If you work with a 2-post lift or need to adjust with the vehicle raised and the wheels hanging free, tell us which lift you have and we will advise you on the best option.
Does the FD306 need periodic calibration?
No. The FD306 features real-time self-calibration, so there is no need to send the unit away for calibration or to schedule downtime for it. It is a wheel aligner with no recurring calibration cost.
Does it work with a 2-post lift?
No. The FD306 works with 4-post lifts, scissor lifts and pits. If your workshop works with 2-post lifts or you need to adjust with the vehicle raised, get in touch and we will advise you on the best option.
